Actor, Director, Writer and broadcaster, Simon Delaney best known for his work in television, film and radio has signed a year-long brand ambassadorship with Honda Ireland. This partnership is a thrilling chapter for both Honda Ireland and Simon. 

 

Fresh from his role in Guy Ritchie’s latest tv series ‘Young Sherlock’ (Amazon Prime) and alongside Ethan Hawke in the Oscar-nominated movie ‘Blue Moon’ (Sony Pictures), Simon continues to captivate audiences through his work on screen, stage and radio. Beyond his on‑screen and on‑air success, Simon has also showcased his passion for food with the release of his cookbook ‘Simply Simon’s – the Diner Cookbook’, after he reached the finals of ‘Celebrity MasterChef Ireland’. His recently published debut novel ‘Watching over you’ continues to garner great reviews. 

 

Simon is also a familiar face within the Irish motor industry, serving as the official host and Master of Ceremonies for the Society of the Irish Motor Industry (SIMI) Annual Awards in both 2024 and 2025. As an advocate for road safety in Ireland he continues to work closely with RSA, hosting their annual ‘leading lights in road safety awards’, and has presented a number of tv series all dealing with the many and varied road users in Ireland. 

 

As part of the new partnership, Simon will drive the Honda CR‑V, the largest and most advanced SUV in the Honda range. Available as both the CR‑V e:HEV full hybrid and the CR‑V e:PHEV plug‑in hybrid, the model embodies Honda’s commitment to innovation, efficiency and everyday versatility. Throughout the year, Simon will highlight how the CR‑V and the broader Honda lineup, integrates effortlessly into daily life, showcasing the brand’s hallmark engineering and its promise of power, comfort and capability for every journey.
