Conrad Mc Gonagle of Jungheinrich Ireland, said: “We are delighted to take delivery of these new all-electric Opel Vivaro Electric workhorses. The combination of power and efficiency make them ideal for our engineers’ requirements, while helping us to substantially reduce our overall transport emissions.”

The multi award-winning Vivaro Electric, a former International Van of the Year and Irish Van of the Year winner, was first launched in 2021, quickly becoming the best-selling electric van in Ireland in 2022, again in 2024, further leading the sales charts in Ireland for the first quarter of 2025. With more than 730 units now on the road around the country, supported by 32 Opel Dealers nationwide, the Vivaro Electric has fast become a firm choice for business customers and fleets who aim to reduce their CO2 emissions and environmental impact.

Equipped with a powerful 136hp motor and a 75kWh battery that is mounted under the load floor to maximise the carrying capacity of the van, the Vivaro Electric boasts a WLTP range of over 340km. Available in two versions (Komfort and Sportive) and two lengths (L1 and L2), the Vivaro Electric charges to 80% battery capacity in just 45 minutes at a DC rapid charger.

Fergal Marron, Head of Fleet for Opel Ireland, commented: “Opel has been proud to be Jungheinrich’s vehicle partner over many years, and we are very happy to continue our relationship into the Electric Vehicle era. With both 11kW AC and 100kW DC fast-charging capabilities, for efficiency and speed respectively, Jungheinrich engineers can ensure they maximise their time meeting with their customers. We look forward to continuing to support Jungheinrich’s road to net zero emissions with our range of fully electric vans and cars over the years to come.”
